PM Modi said that surveying deep sea, maintaining cable connectivity, laying cables through special ships is not such an easy task. As big as this project was, there were huge challenges as well, which was the reason that despite the need for it, it could not be done. But I am glad that this work was done by removing all the obstacles.

He said that it was the responsibility of the country to provide modern telecom connectivity to the hard working citizens of the country, so important for its history, present and future. Today an old dream is realized by team spirit. He said that the OFC, which connects Andaman and Nicobar to other countries, is a symbol of our commitment to the Ease of Living. Be it online education, earning from tourism, banking, shopping or telemedicine, now thousands of Andaman and Nicobar families will also be able to get this online facility.

Now that India is following the new policy of trade and trade and cooperation in the Indo Pacific, the importance of our entire island including Andaman and Nicobar has increased.
